Meeting time: First Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.

The Modesto Chapter of the California Striped Bass Association held its first meeting in June 1981. Activities at the meetings include: potluck, guest speakers, fishing seminars, and raffles. All family members and friends are encouraged to participate in chapter functions.

Each year we sponsor numerous family oriented activities, which include a spring and fall striper derby three-day events held on the delta. In May we also have a "Kids Catch a Smile Day" which is a special day of fishing and activities for physically challenged kids. Over the past years the Modesto Chapter has awarded numerous scholarships to deserving high school seniors who intend on pursuing careers in marine biology, forestry or related fields.

All our members receive a monthly newsletter to keep them up to date on the chapter activities and what is happening with our water and fish. We encourage all concerned fishermen/women to join this fun and active organization.
