The Isleton Delta Chapter free kids fishing derby

The Isleton Delta Chapter of CSBA hosted a free kids fishing derby on June 7th at the Isleton Docks. Fishing poles, life jackets and commemrative t-shirts were handed out to 55 kids participating in the derby - catching and releasing over 100 fish. Free lunch was provided by the chapter, with gold, silver and bronze medals given out to winners in 3 age catagories, and raffle prizes donated by local businesses. The biggest fish of the day was caught by 5 year old Kaylee Kitchens at 16 1/2".
CSBA members were on hand to bait hooks and instruct kids on catch and release.
